Geoffrey S –
Great all around war weather show. Sizing for this sandal runs between 1/2 and a full size (US) large, but once fitted properly, this is a super balmy weather shoe.

Good Choice –
I ordered these for a cruise and love them. I have a VERY wide foot and these were comfortable with and without socks.

Summertime Favorite –
This is my second pair of Arroyo II. In the summer I wear them every day and all day. I literally walked through my first pair. I love having a pair shoes with such great support and comfort that I toss into the washer at least once a week. No matter how dirty and smelly they get, they look and smell great after a trip through the spin cycle.

You can use these for your own orthodics. Best of both worlds; comfy hot weather sandal with your own support. I wear them right up to the November freeze.

I’m a Keen fan, so purchasing these was a no-brainer. My last pair of Keens wore out after 4 years of use. I was pretty impressed with their durability. The first 3 years I wore them every day to work, hiking on weekends, everywhere. They are incredibly comfortable, lightweight and allow my feet to breathe. I really like the pull-strap feature (no laces) because nasty, stretched-out laces are the bane of every shoe.

I purchased these shoes for my son to use while rafting the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. I have a pair that I used on the same trip four years ago. They were great for on the raft, in the water and many miles of hiking in side canyons (great on rocks and loose terrain. I brought other footwear, but it turned out that these shoes were all that I needed. I have used them for many trips in the last four years and they are about to make their second trip down the Colorado.

The color is a little misleading. When I opened the box I thought I ordered the wrong color as I expected “Gray” and not an army greenish color. If my husband likes the color then they are keepers. It is not a bad color, just unexpected. Keen is an amazingly comfortable shoe.

Good shoe as one would expect from Keen. It is not as comfortable as my Keen Newport sandals but a solid addition to my shoe wardrobe.

I have been wearing these for almost 3 years around 250 to 300 days per year. In winter I wear with wool socks and if I get snow in them just knock it out and socks are dry in an hour or less. Love them to death! Soles are starting to wear out so I will be needing a new pair soon. I got this model with the solid heel band so I can slip them on and off without having to reach down and mess with a rear strap, works great hands free! When riding my bike or rough terrain I just tighten up the laces and go.

I hate buying anything! Given that, I wish that everything that I have to buy for the rest of my life could be purchased from Zappos. They are a pleasure to work with. I ordered the wrong size. With one phone call a second pair was sent out overnight. They trusted me to return the originals (which I promptly did). Wow. A company that does business based on honor and mutual respect! Who woulda thunk it? I guess I am about out of room for the shoe review. To close, the shoes are fine, Zappos is fabulous!

Shoe has been a lifesaver for me. I have an injured foot with some swelling. The easy on and off plus the ability of the sandal like upper to flex has been very important. The removable foot bed and the ability to select a proper insert is critical too.

Great pair of all-around shoes! Performed great hiking and even peak climbing in Colorado, walking through streams (waterproof and dried quickly). Also great around town, and perfect for slipping on quickly like a sandal. Just an all-around durable, comfortable, high performance shoe. Definitely runs a full size big, and took about 2 days to break in.

Bought these for my boyfriend an he really likes them. They were stiff when he got them but are breaking in slowly and he finds them very comfortable. He has very wide feet and they fit him fine.

My husband was very pleased with his new shoes. They are exactly what he needed for his mission trip to Brazil! I, on the other hand, am impressed with how quickly the packaged arrived. I had to send back the first pair of shoes due to the wrong size but was so surprised when the new pair came two days later. I could hardly believe that you actually paid for the return shipping. That is unheard of these days. I will definitely continue to shop with Zappos.

I first learned of Keens when I worked at the Chicago Board of Trade in 1999. I noticed that many of the traders in the pit wore Keens and I asked why. They told me they needed shoes that were comfortable and would not break down as they spend 8 hours a day on their feet. I bought my first pair in 2000 and have been wearing them ever since. They are virtually indestructible, Keen’s customer service is top notch and they are very comfortable.

I am a big guy with big feet and am incredeibly hard on shoes. I’ve been wereing these shoes during a large construction project and they have held up fantactically! The best part is that I can house them off, let them dry and were them to dinner with the fam.

Bought my shoes at REI last year. I was impressed with them when I tried them on. I was more impressed when I put them to work! I’ve used them for hiking, fishing and everyday use. I hose them off and air dry them and they are ready for more! One year and still going strong. I’m 6’1″ 310lbs. They provide excellent support on the trail. The soles are barely worn.

The Keen Arroyo II is an outstanding sandal/shoe and Zappos is by far the best online retailer bar none. I have size 13 feet with negative/no arch whatsoever!!! Needless to say, finding shoes or let alone sandals is nearly impossible (don’t know what I would do without Zappos). I used to wear Birkenstocks and still do for arch support, but they obviously don’t do well in wet, muddy conditions. I have owned two pairs of Keen Newport H2s over the years and I wanted something with a little more coverage than the H2s. The Arroyo II has tremendous ankle and arch support for all-day comfort, while the adjustable lace system provides a great fit with or without socks. My whole family has been wearing Keens for 5-6 years now and loves them!

I’ve had four pairs of Keen shoes and these are my least fav of them. They are comfortable, but the toggles aren’t tight, so they are like a big flip-flop shoe. I have nearly rolled my ankle because of the looseness of them. I wish I could return them, but stuck.

I have traveled the world in my Keen footwear. My favorite (by far) are Keen Arroyo II. I love they protect your toes, have an enclosed heel and keep your feet ventilated. I have been wearing Arroyo II’s for over 10 years now, probably on my 5th pair, size 9.5 fits my footprint perfectly. I recently tried Arroyo III’s and decided to try a size 10 to allow for narrow foot bed. They were so tight I could hardly get my foot in them. The length was fine but the width was really tight. I returned them immediately and went back to Arroyo II’s and again they fit perfectly. So, my take away is the Arroyo III’s have a much narrower footprint so beware. What I find amazing is my new Keen Arroyo II’s fit so perfectly on my feet I forget I am wearing brand new shoes, requiring no break-in period.

I like the design of the sandal, which includes an enclosed heel. I have owned four pairs of Walking Store Abeo sandals which I love except the sandal is not available with an enclosed heel. Therefore, I thought the I would try the Keen. I have only had them a short time. The sandals are OK, but they lack arch support. I have a high arch. I’m going to try using the Abeo sole inserts in the Keen.

They were just as I ordered. The first pair I received had a flaw and were coming apart. Unfortunately it was when I was in Costa Rica for an extended period of time. They offered to replace, but that wasn’t possible. I made a complaint, they refunded my purchase given the circumstance, and I repaired the shoes, and still wearing them today, although going to order a new pair now! Love Keens!
Chris –
First off I own my failure to immediate return for these shoes. Quality control for these was lacking. The left shoe was made with an inward tilt which puts preasure on the outside edge of my heal. I thought it would balance with use but it didn’t. Additionally the right sole is wearing quickly. They will be filed in the bin and I will will be very hesitant to buy Keen products in the future.

I want to like these as they are quite comfortable, but the quality is horrible. After only 4 days of wearing with moderate urban hiking, less than 5 miles a day, the toe caps started separating from the shoes. I would not recommend these.
David –
These shoes used to be great, the best shoes, would always last 2 years and were very waterproof with good foot support. Keen said they have now changed the glue that attaches the soles to the shoe. They said it is a more environmentally safe glue, but the sole continues to peel off. Keen advertises these as waterproof but after they have gotten wet a few times the sole begins to peel up on the bottom of the shoe. We have tried several pairs, some peel a little and this last pair we tried to wear with a little peel and the sole finally completely peeled off the bottom of the shoes. Thank you Zappos for making it right on these defective shoes. Keen needs to stop advertising these as waterproof.
