I love Keens and have worn them for 10+ years. In most shoes I wear 8.5 but with Keens sometimes I’m a 9. This boot I got in size 9 and they’re perfect. Comfy, waterproof, and stylish. No ‘break-in’ period with Keens, one of the many things I love about them. And they last at least 5 years for me.

These boots were exactly what I was looking for. Super comfortable, great traction, and easy to get on and off. And, they look cool! I wanted a boot for short hikes with my dogs that would slip on. These fit the bill!

these are such beautiful, well made and beautiful boots. unfortunately it took about five minutes to get them on and off – i’m gonna have to return them cos i know i won’t ever do that. i wish they’d put a zip in them and then i’d buy them in every colour!

I haven’t yet tested the waterproof aspect, but that’s surely coming soon. These boots remind me of my favorite calf-height Keen boots that had a Goretex lining. But these have an even better, more aggressive tread, almost like hiking boots. I love that because here in the Pacific Northwest it gets slippery during winter from mossy, algae slicked surfaces. And they are cute, in the Keen/clunky way. These are so perfect, I might get a backup pair.

I want so much to love these. The color (olive/brown) is superb. The insole is cozy and comfy. Easy on/off. But the shaft is very stiff and wearing inside (on carpet) for just 20 min already caused bruises on the fronts of my shins where every step causes it to rub uncomfortably against my leg. I did some deep knee bends to stretch the elastic and try to get the leather to bend and it helped a little so it’s likely they would break in over time. But I decided years ago that I won’t keep shoes that are this much in need of breaking in so back they go. FWIW I have thin legs /calves so I’m guessing thicker legs would be worse on better but I could have that wrong.

I loved the boot. I had a difficult time getting them on and off and for me that was an issue.
Shoes –
Keen is no longer Keen. Too tight around the foot just behind the toes, way too loose in the heel – a combination I have never experienced while trying on shoes for 30+ years. The “support” on the sole’s outer edge also forced my feet to pronate far enough that I didn’t bother trying to walk in them. I am currently living in my Kaci Keens purchased over ten(?) years ago. I can’t express enough how much I miss the old Keen.

These booties fit my foot well but the top of the booties hit my ankle in an uncomfortable spot. I like Keen quality and fit and support but the ankle design was not for me.

The footbed/length was great. The width, however, was narrower than I was expecting. I think my feet are somewhat on the wider side of normal, so maybe they would be great for most women with a narrower foot. But for me, the part running across the top of my foot was extremely constricted, so much so that my feet stayed cold in 40-degree weather with moderate (not overly thick) crew socks on, because they weren’t getting enough circulation. I was torn between returning them and sizing up a half size, and keeping them with the hopes that the leather upper stretched out.
As far as what I ordered them for, they are perfect. I was looking for a high-quality Chelsea-style boot for walking the dogs, that would be waterproof, have good traction, and a long-lasting sole, but would also function as a sort of athletic shoe for our fast-paced walks that sometimes break out into a short jog. They’re actually better looking in person, too. Overall I’d recommend them, but if you think your foot is at all wide, size up a half size–especially if you’ll be mainly wearing these during the winter with thicker socks.

Fit is great! I bought 6.5 and it fits great with a med sock. I have a narrow heel and a wider toe. Great grip for icy Maine days . Thank you!

I WANTED to like these so much, and I did BUT they were incredibly snarly to actually put on — lots of energetic pulling and wiggling of the foot. It may just be my clunky foot, but I opted to return them. Once I did get them one, they felt great!

I was looking for this style of shoes and purchase a different popular name and oh my God the fit in the middle of my foots hurt so I return it and since I own a lot of Keen shoes decided to buy this and why do I even bother to purchase other brand when I know I can count on keen. My foot is flat and needed a wide shoes I always buy different shoes I’m addictive to them I never purchase a keen that I return I work on my feet 8 to 10 hours this is the best even though most of my keen is for hiking I wear them to work.

I bought these in 9.5 and 10 for my Mom for Christmas. The 10 fit her perfectly, but unfortunately, like some other reviewers have mentioned, they were difficult for her to put on and take off. It was hard for her to squeeze her foot into the boot, and then it was a real struggle to remove them, having to undergo all sorts of contortions. I’m sure a boot jack would help, but she wasn’t into that idea. 😉 The pull tabs help some, but she is over 70 and doesn’t have much wrist strength, so sadly they are going back. I really wish this exact boot came with a side zipper instead, because then it would be perfect for her.

I love these. They fit perfectly, give good support, are very comfy. I put them to the test after just wearing around the house for a day – I went on a 3 mile walk in about 2 inches of crunchy snow (with crampons) in 45F weather. My feet stayed warm the whole time, and there were no uncomfortable rubbing spots…total comfort.

I am the least fashion-conscious person you’ll ever meet, I just like what I like and trust no trends other than the one that’s in my head. I liked the look of these boots, the green leather and had hoped they would be, like all my other Keens- superior quality. My notions were right on the money once again- but what has surprised me is all the compliments I receive, people want to know the brand, where I got them and write it down or put it in their phone. They’re really great boots, I live in Maine where our winters are notorious boot eaters- these things look the same as the day I bought them. They’re rugged for rugged work but fashionable enough apparently- to go with jeans and a cute sweater. Five stars- for Keens and for Zappos for stellar shipping and customer service.

Love these boots! Got these to replace an old pair of merrell boots of a similar style. They fit nice and snug like the merrells, but keen has alot wider toe box. Purchased the olive, which looks more brown online, but very nice olive color in person.

I got this pair (Greta Chelsea) and the Keen Anchorage boot in the same size (9). The Greta is a full size too small, the Anchorage a full size too large!! In other words, Keen can’t get their sizing together. What happened to this company? I mean a half size difference due to styling – ok. But two full sizes between them in the same size and same general styling? Not acceptable. I’m adding a picture to show just how much one is larger than the other. I think I’m done with Keens – once my go-to shoe! So disappointing.

These boots fit great – I always have good luck with Keens as far as the fit goes. As all Chelsea boots seem to be for me, my only complaint is that they are hard to get on, as I have a high instep and a wide foot but am going to keep wearing them in the house to see if they might stretch a bit. The pull tabs are helpful in getting the boots on. They are very comfortable, and I am liking the somewhat “klunky” look of the boot. Have not worn them outside yet, but previous Keens I have owned have had good traction in the snow.

Fit perfectly and very comfortable. Im on my feet and walking all day for my job and these were my daily go to’s for well over a year. I replaced the arch supports and kept wearing them every day. I had the tabs /loops on both shoes repaired when they came unstitched. I recently bought a second pair because I liked these so much and I couldn’t imagine not having a pair.

I have both this boot & the lower height version. In no possible way are these boots waterproof. I wore both pair in various wet conditions & not only were my feet soaked, the black boot bled all over my socks & feet & horribly stained them. I do not recommend & think any claim of waterproofing is false advertising. I bought these boots from Keen’s website & they dodged all over the place to avoid any claim on the waterproofing. What a huge disappointment.

Love these! My morning dog walk, run to the mailbox, extended stroll boots. They are super tough. I replaced the insoles with shearling ones and have together from my teenage kids bc these are indestructibly awesome. They’re not the cutest but I’m still going to get myself another pair (and gift mine to my kids ).

Very comfortable- true to size
I find them easy on and off
Wear well

The fit was a good, I returned the boots because the stiff front part above the ankle was painful on my shin, maybe my shins are just sensitive. It’s a good looking boot.

Comfy. You just roll along in these!

These are awesome. Rugged. A bit challenging to get into but they are loosening up. Walking a couple miles right out of the box, no blisters. I wear a woman’s 10 w. Or men’s 8.5 regular
