These shoes have fabulous toe room. They’re fully as wide across the ball of the foot as Keen Newport sandals, which is great. I’m not describing them as wider than marked because that’s what I expect (and love) about Keens but people with narrow or medium feet will find these way too wide. Unfortunately, they slipped off my heels, which doesn’t happen with the Newports. Heads up about the materials: These are very plastic/vinyl-ish. I should have expected it because they’re not pretending to be leather or suede or anything, but it did take me by surprise. Inside they were lined and comfortable though, and seemed both sturdy and flexible. If they’d come close to staying on my heels I’d have kept them. As it is, the quest continues for shoes that fit women with wide toes, narrow heels and high arches, plus the usual assortment of middle-aged foot issues (plantar fasciitis, achy toes, etc.).
