Seem to be nice boots, and I thought they were cute. Unfortunately, the toe box was too small to accommodate my bunion. Other Keen styles have a slightly wider toe box. These do have a narrower heel that fit better than other Keens, but had to return due to discomfort for my foot shape.

The boot was very narrow at the instep and heal. The laces were not long enough to reach through the top grips and tie. It felt like the area over the instep was too shallow/narrow to the point that the tongue barely crossed the lace opening. Very strange fit. I have bought Keen boots for years and have never experienced a poor fit like this. Maybe I just got a bad pair. I have a different style that fits well and is comfortable.

I purchased a Size 10 (I wear a 9.5 in tennis shoes), and they have plenty of toe room at the big toe and sides. I tried this same boot on in a 9.5 and it was too small for what I was seeking. I have slightly narrow feet, but was pleased that my heel didn’t slip even with sizing up. I was wearing Merrell’s for many years, and needed to size up for more toe room for hiking. I wear these with orthotics, and I have a high arc. I was able to loosen the laces enough for the top part of my foot to be comfortable, something I was not getting with other brands (Vasque, Asolo) in size 10. This did result in the laces being very short while tying. Comfortable right out of the box, took them on a 6 mile hike without breaking them in, and zero issues. I do not normally go for boots that have a tall-ish ankle height, but these did not hit my ankle or shin in a funny way, which was pleasing. Very happy after doing a long search and sizing up for the first time.

I like the way the boot looked, which is one reason I bought it, but I was also looking for a light hiking boot with ankle support for mostly summer hiking in Colorado and California, where it gets quite hot but may also rain (in CO, at least). I do find that Keens tend to run slightly small lengthwise. I like a wide toe box, which Keens always provide. I do have narrow feet with high arches/insteps and a nascent bunion, but these boots generally felt good. There is a sort of bunching of the pink canvas at the part of the boot that touches the top of your foot, which bugged me a little just putting them on. I didn’t wear them hiking, so I can’t tell if that would be a problem. I would call the arch support on the low end, and I always use an orthotic in hiking boots. Still considering whether to buy these, but I am leaving soon and don’t have time for another round of returns.

The shoe was very comfortable. I sent them back only because I did not like the high ankles

I really like these boots. Unfortunately it took me a few wears before I decided they were half a size too small. Normal walking they are fine but hiking down hill my toes slam the front. I am getting half size bigger even though they are so expensive because they are good boots. I like that flex part and they are sufficiently waterproof for snow or a shallow stream.

I finally opened the package and to my dismay there were tiny spots on one boot and mild scuff marks. I am returning. I did put them on to try and they are really uncomfortable.

I’m an 81/2 —- but read the previous reviews and decided to order a 9. Perfect fit. Just had major foot surgery. Love Keen??good arch support and a perfect fit. Love the look of these boots .

Really wanted to love these, very nice looking but the comfort just wasn’t there. I have been a Keen fan for many years and one of the things I like most is the no break-in and instant comfort. Unfortunately, the tongue design on this style was the deal breaker. Within minutes it was digging in, different design than my Voyageur’s and just isn’t going to work for me.

Thought I would try these instead of the Targhees. They weren’t even close to a match in comfort. The area where the inside of the tongue attaches to the shoe horribly dug into the side of my foot. Returning them and sticking to the tride and true Targhees!

Your site indicates you only have M for this shoe; I ordered twice and received W both times. Thank you for having free returns. I will not be ordering this boot again.

I have fallen arches and over time my feet have spread at the front though I have a very narrow heel, so it’s difficult to find a boot that’s wide in the toe box but narrow at the heel. Usually I have to size up to accomplish that, and that creates a whole host of OTHER fit problems. These KEEN Ridge Flex Mid WP boots are PERFECT for this kind of foot issue! I bought my normal size and they feel roomier than my old LOWA Renegade boots that were a half size larger. LOVE IT!

These are nice, sturdy, comfy and high quality but big, heavy and clunky. I was hoping to replace some old Keens that were soft and flexible, yet still supportive. (They’re still in great shape, but my feet grew.) These are much bulkier. That said, if I were hiking in bad weather and slippery, wet terrain all the time, these would be great. I needed something that I could use hiking in Southern California canyons as well as when traveling to wetter, colder climates, so I’m looking for something lighter. One thing I do like about these is there’s a nice, roomy toe box. They’re also pretty flexible as well. The ridge-flex thing on top is a nice touch, and it does add flexibility.

So comfortable and they feel like boots that have already been broken in. I love the style – kind of boho. And they run high over my ankle bones so the padding is perfectly placed. I have trouble finding boots that don’t cut into my ankle bones, which are very pronounced. These are perfect. The thing they do with the toe area to make them more bendable is brilliant. The toe box is very wide, which I also needed. Really love these.

boots needed no break-in. the flex very helpful in creating fluid movement when walking. usually wear an 8.5 but got the 9 as the shoe did not come in a wide width – as such, there is enough room in the toe box so as not to pinch without creating any sloppy feel. the heel could be a touch more snug – but some inserts will address it. really love them.

The left boot felt like I was tilted inward and had to compensate by leaning on my outer sole. I think it was a manufacture issue as the right boot fit great. I returned them, and still looking for boots.

right out of the box these boots can be worn with no break in time. the ridge flex adds an ease of movement that is welcome in boots. as they do not come in wide width, had to go up 1/2 size and the fit is perfect – a touch loose in the heel that can be adjusted with an insert.
extremely comfortable and worn with light hiking sox, a perfect match.
not fond of the laces – the metal eyelets are very taut and it is a bit of a struggle to get the waxed rounded lace underneath and they are a bit short – just changed the laces.
excellent for wide feet as the toe box is roomy and the lacing gives nice support to the ankles.
a great pair of boots!

Perfect fit, perfect color and awesome for treks in the mud, snow and slush in upstate New York !

I am a loyal Keen customer, I’ve hiked in their boots for the past 10 years. These are the first I have ever returned after just trying them on-the weird accordian plastic on the top of the boot warps the whole shoe when you tighten the laces. Why does everything have to be so over-engineered?
