Jim –
The width of the shoe seems just right for me, but the length just a bit short – this may be caused by the design of the back of the shoe which hits me mid ankle and perhaps pushes my foot just a bit forward. What this means is that my toes feel a little tight while my heel feels somewhat loose. I have been wearing the shoes for several days and I think this is getting better. Overall I feel that this is a sturdy and handsome shoe – well made right down to the laces. This is my everyday wear shoe. 🙂
DougD –
Very comfortable shoe and stylish. Can be worn both for light hiking, everyday wear, and even for work

I am very pleased with the look and performance of the Targhee III oxford. I have custom orthotics, and this shoe easily accommodates them. It is a casual oxford that doesn’t have a hiking-shoe look, but provides a variety of options, and is super comfortable. I took them as my only pair of shoes on a recent ski trip to Lake Tahoe, and they were a perfect choice.

I am a USPS letter carrier and use these for work where it is not uncommon for me to walk 10 – 12 miles a day. These shoes were comfortable from the first wearing. No break in. I think the wider toe box than in many other work shoes has something to do with it. Would get them again.

Shoes are extremely comfortable. I have had numerous Keen styles in the past and know that I need a half size bigger. Knowing that, they fit is perfectly. Style was a bit “clunkier” than I was expecting but they look fine nonetheless.

Wore them for 2 hours the day I received them, and thought they were OK. The next day I wore them in the house, again, but my feet felt sore when I took them off. I noticed that they were too tight in width and length. I am disappointed because the shoe style looks nice, and I have been wearing Keen shoes comfortably in the same size for 8-9 years. Regrettably, I made a return.

I’m a fan of the Keen Presidios, circa 2011, but they changed the construction enough that the newer versions don’t fit my feet as well. So I decided to try the Targhee III Oxford. I wear a Women’s size 10 or 10.5, so I tried a Men’s 8.5 and they were perfect. Arch support was OK, but I replaced the insoles with my own orthotics. The look is more rugged than Presidios, but I like the extra ankle support. The sole has grippy treads, which I hope will be handy this winter. They somehow make my feet look smaller, which is a plus!

I’m a 10.5 foot but I run a bit wide and have high arches – so I opted for an 11 and they fit perfectly! I got the black and really like ’em. they look so much better then most of the keens with all the different materials. I’ve walked about 30 miles in them over the last month and still super comfortable and not foot pain.

Wonderful shoes! Fit perfectly from the first moment and required no breaking in.

Good fit, my old Keens had become too small and my toes were rubbing uncomfortably. These 12’s are a half-size bigger than my old pair. Also the material is more pliable. They are comfortable and ok for looks. Being bigger, they feel slightly clunky, but I will get used to them in time. I like’em.

Very good fit. Needed a half size bigger than normal.

These are great shoes. Love the Keen toe box and sturdy build. Since the WW width was not available, I thought I sneak my feet into a D width with the wide toe box, but had to return them.

Great fit and comfort. My husband loves them.

The shoe fit size was perfect. The leather is of high quality. The shoe construction is very well designed. My feet are very comfortable during both walking and standing. There is good shock absorbing cushion and arch support is fine. Traction in both dry and wet conditions are very secure. There wasn’t a long break-in period. This is my second KEEN shoe this year. I bought a waterproof hiking style type boot with the same qualities; the Targhee II Mid.

Very pleased with these low cut hiking boots. I’ve only worn them for one day, but did so in complete comfort. I was hoping they’d be just a little roomy, so I’d be able to wear winter socks with them – and that is exactly the case.
I purchased them to go with some winter apparel I also bought recently, and, well, their dark Earth Tone color is not quite a match for what they were meant to go with. But they are fine and attractive boots, and I’ll simply wear them with something else. (Oh. I had a shipping issue which was entirely my fault, and Desmond at the help desk straightened it out quickly. Thank you Desmond!)
Greg –
I volunteered a review previously, and now I’m responding to an email from Zappos. (They must not have noticed review #1) ? That’s okay. I like them enough to review them twice! I was hoping that the size ordered would give me plenty of room for thick winter socks – and it does that. I expressed concern previously that their darker Earth Tone color might be a bit dark for my wardrobe, but I’ve decided I was wrong. They look great! Really, I couldn’t be more pleased.

These are excellent shoes for my foot, which needs a moderately wide toe compartment. I’ve had these for about 6 months, and wear them constantly including walking, hiking, even on trips to Africa for field work. They are comfortable and supportive. I’ve worn Keen Targee shoes and boots for years, always with good results. Highly recommended!

great fit and super comfortable
Jeff –
Fit is spot on (size 11 men’s). Very sturdy shoe. Seems like a good-quality leather, and good laces too. Very comfortable wearing them 9 hours each day.

Sturdy, supportive yet comfortable all day long.

I normally wear a 9 (41.5 or 42 EU) wide. These hiking shoes were true to the size and width and are very comfortable. They have support and some cushion, especially at the heel.
Anonymous –
great fit and easy to put on and take odd, with no heel slip. lots of room in toe box1

I’ve been wearing these almost every day for nearly 5 years, and they have held up exceptionally well, still look good and are comfortable. I need a wide shoe, and many Keen styles in D width are too narrow for my feet. I ordered these a half-size larger in the D width, and both the size and width fit me well.
