This style is quite an improvement over Targhee II styling. Much more comfortable and a great walking/hiking shoe: good for many hours of use. It is very comparable to the Targhee III.

I like the fit of these shoes. Good multi purpose shoe. Fit is true to size.

I love this shoe. It is lightweight, cushiony, and breathable. Good grip on sole and wide to box. I found it true to size with room for a bit thicker sock and I can also use an orthotic in these tho they do have pretty good arch support. The only reason I gave it 4 stars overall is because on trails you can feel stones underneath your feet so there is no stone guard protection, and also because the quality just isn’t the same as the Keens of ten or so years ago. The midsole is one piece that has been “painted” to look like different layer materials, in fact some of the color is already wearing off in places and I have only warn them maybe 10 times. Also there is some hap hazard glue visible along the toe guard. But the up side I guess is that the shoe is lighter than older versions and has more soft cushion like a sneaker so it is more comfortable over all than the previous versions of keen hikers. I still like the shoe and hope it lasts a while.

Fit well and well made….just found them very heavy and didn’t think that would work for long term wear with knee issues

LOVE these shoes. As with all Keens, I ordered up a size, which was perfect in length. However, had to return; they do not fit like my other Keens (Gypsum boots, Juneau boots, others). Not wide enough in forefoot; too wide at heel. Sadly, back they go 🙁

My initial review still stands as far as the footbed being soft but gives support. I had to return these because the tye shoe touches a nerve on the top of my foot and overtime it really hurts.

This shoe has so many great qualities, and was just what I wanted. But, it was too firm especially in the forefoot. The heel was very supportive and the arch area, but my feet started burning and hurting in places after about 10 minutes in the house. Not cushy enough in the toes and ball of the foot. Nicely flexible, tho.

I usually wear size 9 but this shoe was at least a half-size too small.

I really love these. The style and quality make for all-day comfort for a working shoe. The only caveat is that I must adjust the tongue just right before I start my day. My foot happens to be somewhat narrow, so if you have a true medium or wide foot you may not have this problem. with out that problem I would give these shoes a 5+++ . This is the only shoe I have owned that fits so comfortably for all day wear,

The “keep you balanced foot bed you’ve been looking for all of your pronating life”

I love Keen shoes and thought these would be perfect. They are lightweight and breathe well. They were really comfortable when I tried them around the house. After a short hike though, I got blisters on the tops of the toes on both of my feet. It seems the toe box is smaller than normal Keen shoes.

These are so comfortable that I want to wear them all the time. Far more comfortable than any walking shoe I have. I have some really terrible leg and foot pain from back issues so it’s incredibly hard for me to find comfortable shoes. These have been miraculous.

These are so comfortable that I want to wear them all the time. Far more comfortable than any walking shoe I have. I have some really terrible leg and foot pain from back issues so it’s incredibly hard for me to find comfortable shoes. These have been miraculous. I’m wondering if it’s the “Injected TPU heel-capture system for foot stability.” that is helping me so much. I’m actually hunting more Keen’s that are not so bulky that use that same phrase to see if I can find regular walking shoes with the same technology.

So being hikers, they are not your traditional “cute” shoes. But I bought them for work on hard floors and hiking. They are much lighter than they look, the material feels sturdy. The soles are very grippy. Like other Keens I have owned, they have the classic wide toe bed, which I love. I normally wear a wide in most shoes, but Keens fit perfectly. If you aren’t a fan of scrunched up toes, Keens are perfect. The ankle is very cushioned and snug, so even though your toes have room, you aren’t moving around in the shoe. I’m not a huge fan of the type of laces they came with, they come untied easily, so I’ll probably buy a cheap pair of regular laces anyways. I can’t attest to the water resistance yet, I haven’t been brave enough for that as fell in a creek last year. For anyone who wants a great, comfortable hiker with toe room these are great.

Great walking shoe

It fits well I was hesitant to order keens. The sizing changed, since it was purchased by another company.
The sizing changed, a whole size. Was not sure on this shoe how much larger I should go.
Only went up 1/2 size

I was not disappointed at all with this style of Keens. Ran true to size, i always wear a 9 in Keens and that was the case. Good amount of arch support, but not overly so. Had been wearing a very old broken down pair and was able to tolerate these. This colour was significantly less money, thought would just deal with, but actually very nice looking. Would highly recommend these for a nice supportive walking shoe on uneven terrain.
Diane –
Very nice Keens. Plenty of toe box room. Just a little deep so my ankle bone hits the side, but I use a little foam insert and that works fine. Arch support is not aggressive, but it’s there. Color and styling is great! They feel really solid and I’m ready to go hiking!

This was the usual reliable Keen sizing. I wear a 9 in all shoes/boots ( except Ariats, size 8 1/2). Fit great, had to get use to the support again, not overly supportive, but just right. My last pair were very old, broken down and used. This colour was marked down, not sure why, looked better when received than in the photo. Ankle at first slight annoying, but broke in right away. Love these for walks in the woods and just wearing around. Recommend!!!

I hiked 650kms in these shoes, back to back days, and they were a dream, NO blisters, light but solid. (I do have my own insoles, full disclosure.) My only comment is that the heel lining wore out faster than my other Keens. I am purchasing a 2nd pair because wearing my old worn-out pair is like a breath of fresh air for my feet.

Stable on uneven terrain.

This shoe fits perfectly for my purposes. I live on a steep forested hill, and the snug heel combined with the wide toe space and toe protector are just what I need for hiking up and down these steep slopes. If the toe of the shoe is too snug, I injure my toes and end up with black toenails. But the heel has to be snug to keep me from slamming into the front of the shoe. Maybe not the most attractive shoe around, but that wasn’t my reason for buying them.

Loved these shoes, but the Merrell Accentor 3 had more arch support, which I really need. I considered keeping these also, but didn’t really need 2 pairs. Both fit with my orthotics.
Carolyn –
These shoes are a perfect fit! Light and airy, snug where they need to be snug (arches, ankles) but plenty of room for my toes. I couldn’t be happier.
Anne –
Love these boots – great support and have lasted years!
