Fit true to Keen sizing! Comfortable from the first wearing!

I try other brands and I still come back to Keen’s. The toe-box cannot be beat. These shoes perform on hikes like no others. Toes are protected, arch is supported, no pinching, no blisters.

Second Keen pair being returned due to being a full size smaller than my usual size. Bummer.
Decided to go with the Merrell hiking boot.

I ordered this hiker like I do when I order athletic shoes; a half size larger than I normally wear. They were wide enough even with a normal B width. Plenty of toe room. (And I have wide feet) They are comfortable and required little “break in” time. The price was reasonable for a quality shoe.

I almost always wear keens. That said, I recently ordered Oboz, Vasque, and Keen hiking boots at the same time. I knew the Keens would fit and be cozy, no matter what. And they were. But the difference between wearing a Keen boot and the Oboz or Vasque was night and day. The Keen just did not offer up the support the other two boots provided.
Now – the reason I always wear Keens is that have crazy high arches. I need to wear orthotic insoles which means I need a BIG toebox. The Vasque and Oboz boots were amazing, but did not offer enough toe room. I’m sending the Keens back only because I’m hell bent on finding a different brand of hiking boot that can accommodate my orthotics and give the extra overall support the Keens don’t. I’m not giving up on Keens, I have 3 pairs of them and wear them daily.

I ordered half a size up to accommodate thicker socks and the boots were roomy. They are light, airy and will work well for hiking in warmer weather.

I was looking forward to replacing my worn out boots. I ordered same size and they were too big. I had to return them.

Light weight and love the wide toe box. This is my second pair of the Targhee Vent Mid. I also have a couple of the other style Targhees. Wish the vent had some color choices.

Loved the look and fit of the shoe but they are very squeaky when you walk.

My favorite hiking shoes and i get compliments on them. I like them so much because they are lightweight and even though they are vented i wear them all year round just with different socks. Last pair I wore frequently from 2017 to 2021. Newer shoes seem to run 1/2 size smaller. I had to get a 10 instead of usual 9.5. I hope the quality is the same.

I wore these for a couple 4-5 mile hikes and had no problems. I started to get a blister on one heel on a 9 mile hike with a lot of elevation. I stupidly wore them for a 20 mile overnight hike and ended up with quarter sized blisters on both heels. Everything else about these boots worked for me.

Great fit and feel. Very nice looking boot!

Excellent shoe…just too high on back on ankle for me.

I broke my metatarsal 2 yrs ago so am very careful to buy shoes that have good support and a wide toe box. These Keens seem to fit the bill! They are only a medium width, but feel wider than medium. They are a little “clunky’, probably because they are a boot, but overall I’m very pleased with them.

I still have not decided on fit. The toe length is good, but a bit more width around my foot than Im used to. I might try a half size smaller and compare before I decide.

Comfy boots!

I have pretty much worn out my previous pair of keen hiking boots. Decided to invest in these. Right out of the box they’re perfect. They do seem a tad wide but I don’t mind as I can add heavier socks if need be.

Soles felt thin, compared to an older pair of Keens I have. All in all, a good shoe, just not what I was searching for.

My daughter loves these shoes and they are so cute and comfy, however the sole is coming loose from both shoes. I bought these in 7/23. Not acceptable!!!!!

While I like the styling on this boot, it was heavier in weight compared to other brands. As an experienced hiker this may not be an issue for you but for me as a new hiker, I feel this would tire me.

Like the comfort of shoe. Lots of room in the toe box but have an issue with the upper part of shoe. It is extremely hard to get the upper part of tongue to lay flat and have the cuff stay over tongue. It’s hard to get lace tight enough to keep everything in place so it doesn’t have an open area between tongue and cuff, and loosen while walking. Still not sure if I will keep or return. Wondering if the tongue will become more flexible as they are worn and then lay flat.

I love Keene boots. This is my third pair.

This boot made my feet feel tired within minutes of wearing it. I got a sharp pain in the joint at the base of my big toe after walking around in them. The design does not look like it is made for human feet. The color is so ugly.

I ordered the shoes in a size 7 because my regular size, 6.5, was not in stock. As I suspected they were too big. With my thick socks on, my heels were swimming in the shoes and the left shoe was rubbing on my ankle from the get go. I had high hopes. Maybe the 6.5 would have a better outcome for me. Sadly, these are going back.

Liked these boots but compared to the Merrill these were a little bit looser and might be more apt to trip, not the most graceful person these days.
