These run a little small so I exchanged them for half a size larger. These are not wide shoes but the bunge stretch helps. There is not much arch support – that could be better. They are so ugly they are cute. I cannot resist.

Once again – so ugly they’re cute. Got the pink pair for fun – now I’m looking into a more “neutral” pair. I wear a 7 in Keens, and these seem to fit just right. I can feel the arch support, but maybe people with a higher arch wouldn’t think it’s enough. Got complimented by the first person who saw them. Will recommend to fiends. I also think they would be great for anyone who has bunions – I have a small one, and these don’t bother me at all.

This shoe is pretty comfortable. It is an odd fit to start with but it gets more comfortable with a bit of wear. I would recommend them.

These shoes do look great and have a nice soul support. It is the lacing frame I am still on the fence about. It it dense and fits snug. After a while it becomes uncomfortable. Hoping it will stretch out a little over time.

I have easy to fit feet, and this is the very first shoe in my 73 years that doesn’t fit well.
Glad I didn’t wear them outside. The foot doesn’t slide under the cords and makes it very uncomfortable.

I’ve been wanting a pair of summer sandal/shoes that I can go for long walks in. Something that has some support, but which I don’t need socks with and which has lots of air passing through. Most sandals just don’t have enough protection and most sneakers make my feet too hot. These looked like they might be a good solution, and they are but it took a bit for me to find the right size. Normally an 8.5 or a 9 at most, I needed these in a 9.5. The 9 fit, but I could tell that the “macrame” was going to be a problem for my big toe after a while. I’ve never worn a 9.5 in any shoe but decided to give them a try. Perfect. They’re airy and comfortable. No more sweaty summer feet for me. Here’s what everyone wants to know…Yesterday was my first day in these and I had a little rubbing away of skin on my middle toe (one foot only). I put a bandaid on and today decided to throw caution to the wind as I took a walk for an hour or so just to see how they felt. I figured an hour wasn’t long enough to make me miserable if they were really uncomfortable but it was long enough to give these a good enough work out. So far so good. I was very very comfortable in them and absolutely no more skin rubbed off. The footbed feels very natural. I will update this review if anything changes. Now as for whether these are cute or ugly? I guess it’s a little bit of both. I’ve decided to call these cute. You might have different ideas. They kind of look like what you might get if docksiders and huaraches got together and produced babies. in both the yellow and the blue. The blue was a bit too overwhelming for my taste. The yellow was on the edge enough without falling off. Bottom line: if, like me, you hate having hot feet but you like to walk and want more support and coverage than the average sandal, and you don’t mind being a bit out there with your footwear, these are an excellent choice.

I ordered one pair just to try them, walked around the house for a bit and went right back to my laptop to order another pair! So I have the all black, and the gray and mint pair. On to fit, I have a narrow foot and high arch, and though I read that they run a half size short, I ordered my regular size 8, thinking that my narrow foot would allow the strings a bit of stretch in length. It worked! The arch is not as high I as really need or like it to be, but it’s decidedly more than most shoes. These are crazy comfortable. I’ve walked miles in them — and just love them!

I love Keens and these are really great. They fit my size 7 foot perfectly, were comfortable right out of the box and have enough support to wear all day at work. They come in great colors but at this much a pair, can’t afford to get them all! Too bad.
Renee G –
These felt like a dream right out of the box! My podiatrist recommended them to me because I have almost no cartilage left in the joint of my big toe. The top of the shoe is wide and non binding, and the adjustable elastic makes for a secure fit. I wore them on a 3 mile hike the first day I bought them. They are so lightweight that you barely know you are wearing them. I’m ordering another pair for gardening as they dry quickly. You can’t go wrong. They are the best newly designed shoe Keen has ever come up with.

One other review called this shoe “fugly” and I would agree and I am so glad I got a pair. I live on a hike and bike trail in an area where summer temps are 100+, so I walk a lot and my feet get hot in regular athletic shoes. I have worn these for about 12 miles of walking so far and they are wonderfully ventilated and provide good support for my feet. They are not pretty or sexy…well the color is pretty (lavender). I wear a size 9.5 but after reading reviews I ordered a 10 and they fit very well. I did worry about all the braided cord hurting my foot but it isn’t the least bit uncomfortable. The shoe hugs your foot, so there is no sliding or bunching and I like the feel when walking. A very stable shoe. So order the fugly shoe, get a half size larger, and prepare to love them.

I’m delighted with these all-black Uneek sandals. I have a colorful pair from last summer and wore them a lot because they are so comfortable. The black, with black soles have a more dressed up look (in my opinion) and could be worn almost anywhere. The Uneek sandals have the Keen metatomical footbed, which gives excellent support. The cords which make up the top of the shoe stretch to fit your unique foot shape.
Karen S –
These are are not your ordinary Keen sandals. They have the comfort you expect but they are incredibly light weight. You forget you are even wearing shoes. The support is good and allows you to walk miles in comfort. These are my new go to shoes.

I love these shoes. They’re like wearing a combination of sneakers and huaraches. I get compliments on them all the time. My foot it wide at the front and narrow at the heel, and these do fine.

I read all reviews on these shoes and they convinced me to try them out. I couldn’t be more pleased. I have a problem foot on the right that is wider than my left, it has developed a bunion, degenerative arthritis, and it’s post surgical repair for a torn anterior tibialis tendon. I got these based on the reviews and tried not to worry that they might not be wide enough, comfortable enough and supportive enough for long walks in the summer months. I should never have worried about it. They were comfortable right out of the box, more supportive than most of my running shoes, and cooler than wearing socks with running shoes. The first time wearing them, I walked a few miles just shopping. They fit my left foot, which is narrower than my right foot, by simply the cords. I plan on buying more colors to wear during the hot summers here in AZ.

LOVE these shoes! I have 2 prs of the Uneek slip-ons and I was so happy to see these! One piece of advice–when I first go these shoes I panicked when I couldn’t just slide them on. Then I remembered that the parachute cord needs to be “fit” to your foot. I loosened the clip on the top all they way and worked my foot into the sandal while gently pulling the tongue out to increase the space. I got them on and they felt wonderful–like a comfortable glove! The next time I wore them it was easy to put them on. The other reason I love these shoes is that I cannot bend one of my knee past 90 degrees and it’s easy to trip on things. These shoes hug my feet and give me less anxiety about tripping.

Comfortable sandals around the house but not easy to put on. Will probably be better after they have stretched a little. My only complaint is that they don’t have enough cushioning for the hard floors at the mall. After a couple of hours of shopping my feet were very tired and I was anxious to take them off.

I like the utilitarian look and function of this shoe. But the openness is deceiving. They are comfy snug, like a sock, but feel tight after an hour or so. The toe is too flat with no possible relief so it presses down on my large toe. So I ordered a larger size. Size 8 is new to me and I appeared to need 8.5 in this shoe. But the 8.5 was way too large. My foot slipped around so that it felt dangerous. So I returned the large size and I’m hoping to loosen up the chords on the 8.
I work at this daily and wear the shoes only in the morning. Perhaps they will only be good for a “rocky lake” environment. I was hoping to get a lot of summer walk around with them. It looks like the straps are adjustable, but they don’t adjust where adjustment is needed, only around the lace ties.

I love these sandals, I was hoping they would not look clunky and they do not.
I especially like them as I do not have the prettiest toenails, these shoes allow me to wear a breezier shoe without feeling exposed.
Maria –
So comfortable that when I tried them on I decided to walk around in them for a little bit to break them in, and I literally forgot that I had them on. They’re soft and subtle. Very casual, obviously…i wear them around the house mostly but I will wear them to run into a store for sure.

I didn’t like the black, so got gray. Everything else about this sandal is perfect. Comfortable in Houston heat for long walks, can get wet, can wash in washing machine. On my 3rd pair.
PDX –
These go in and of water so easy you will forget you are wearing them. I like the unexpected sparkle from the silver threads. Love love love…

These shoes are not the most stylish but the comfort and functionality is what I was looking for. These are my first pair of Keen but won’t be my last.

Cute, a little flat. I have a high arch, a little tight over the arch. Trying a larger size though length is true to size.
Alice –
So comfortable and surprisingly chic in black. This is the third pair in black I have purchased. Also own in white, gray, gray/red. I frequently wear traveling in lieu of sneakers as they look so good. I have been stopped in Europe, Asia and the US repeatedly.
Lynne –
As others have said, this show runs small and I had to return them. Unfortunately, Zappos didn’t have a half size larger, so I ordered a 10.5 directly from Keen. They fit perfectly. I notice that there isn’t always agreement about how to classify sizes using the Euro versus American system. It would have been helpful to see the Euro size in the description, as I would have known they were too small and not ordered them in the first place. One thing about other Keen shoes that I haven’t liked is that the foot bed can be rough. These, however, are smooth and comfortable.
